RetailReady’s Jared Quandt came to visit our warehouse this yesterday.

We’re in the early stages of moving away from SPS Commerce. And let me say something a lot of brands need to hear:

You do not have to use SPS.

Somehow people act like it’s the only option in retail EDI.
It’s not.
What’s impressed me so far with Retail Ready:
• Calendar and table views of when orders need to ship
• Automated chargeback workflows
• Clear visibility into where every process stands
• Easy integrations without the normal headache
• Slack communication with responses in seconds, not hours or days!!

That matters.

Software is one thing.
Responsiveness is another.

The best partners don’t just sell you a platform.
They help you move faster.

And I’ll add this too…

Their team rocks custom Frost Buddy bottles. They are young, hungry, and eager to win.

I respect that energy.

I’m big on giving credit where it’s earned.

Early on, I’m impressed by both what they’ve built and how they operate.

Technology is moving FAST 🚀

Monday morning I'm having a conversation about how manual chargeback disputes still are in fulfillment — brand goes to warehouse, warehouse pulls paperwork, someone crafts a response, uploads into retailer portals... rinse and repeat. My take? AI will get there, but we're not there yet. 🤷‍♀️

Monday afternoon I get a message from Sarah Hamer and Elle Smyth at RetailReady asking if Supergoop! wanted to be featured in their weekly LinkedIn post. I'm reading through the example and see — AI agents that dispute chargebacks FOR you using warehouse data from your packout software. 👀

I asked if I could see it. Ball was rolling instantly. We're now piloting their AI chargeback agent at one of our retailers. 🙌 Went from "AI will get there eventually" to actively testing it — in a matter of hours. ⚡

It depends on whether your 3PL already uses RetailReady. If it does, our software guides their team step by step through each retailer’s packing requirements, and we send ASNs on your behalf. If it doesn’t, you can use our EDI and chargeback services on their own, sponsor your 3PL’s access, or partner with a member of our Certified 3PL network. Either way, our team coordinates with your 3PL, retailers and EDI provider from kickoff through go-live.

RetailReady connects to the WMS platforms you already use, like ShipHero, Logiwa, Extensiv, Deposco and Cin7. For orders, we integrate with NetSuite, Shopify, and Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central. For finance, we connect to QuickBooks and Finaloop to sync retailer invoice data. Our team handles implementation, testing and ongoing maintenance, so no engineering work is needed on your side.

Setup on our side takes less than two weeks. Each retailer then runs its own testing period, which can take a few days or up to about 15 business days. Please note that net new WMS or ERP integrations can increase time to go live, usually by about two weeks. Every implementation includes a kickoff call, warehouse training and a review after your first orders ship.

Yes. We support regional chains like Scheels, Von Maur and Hy-Vee, and distributors like KeHE and UNFI. For retailers that don’t use EDI, we provide a manual workflow that still produces compliant labels and packing instructions. Any retailer not already on the platform can be requested at any time.

No. RetailReady doesn’t charge per document, per transaction or per user. Pricing is tailored to your business, based on your retailer connections and the modules you choose: EDI, packout compliance, chargeback recovery, or the full suite. Per-connection rates drop as you add retailers, and plans are typically annual with unlimited users.

RetailReady prevents chargebacks at packout and disputes the ones that still happen. Every order comes with a compliance report, including carton dimensions, label images, and pallet and BOL photos, which our AI agents use as evidence. Brands keep 100% of recovered funds, and we’ll audit your last 30 days of chargebacks for free. See how California Naturals launched into Ulta with 100% compliance.

Legacy EDI providers like SPS Commerce are built mainly to move documents between suppliers and retailers. RetailReady handles EDI too, plus packout compliance and AI-powered chargeback disputes, all on one platform. There are no per-document fees, and our team manages retailer testing for you. We can also run alongside your current provider while you move retailers over in phases.
